To a new garden

Dear friend who asked me about her new garden,

I'm so excited!  Here are some of my old and new favorites.

Winter sowing - https://www.agardenforthehouse.com/2012/11/winter-sowing-101-6/.  Best and cheapest way to get lovely new plants.  We binged and planted tons and tons of jugs.  I've tried other ways to do seeds, but this is a favorite.

Sources:

https://www.outsidepride.com/ - I like them for seeds I know I'm going to want for a few years.  I get nasturtiums, calendula, borage, cosmos, bugloss, etc from them.

https://www.superseeds.com/ - I like these guys because they have nice fruit plants and good small packets of something I want to try but am not sure if I want a ton of.

https://www.vanengelen.com/ - good place for bulbs.  Since one really saves on bulbs in bulk (and one can never have too many bulbs - truly), I like to pick one or two varieties to buy by the hundreds a year.

And neighbors:).  And cuttings!  And picking up seeds from a plant you see that's gone to seed.

I love Gardener's World, mostly for the gorgeous dogs - https://www.gardenersworld.com/

I've got tons of plants for you - honesty, asters, maximilian daisies, gooseneck loosestrife, iris (dutch and bearded), lovage, oregano, and evening primrose.

So excited about your garden, dear friend!
Sarah
