Slowing Down for Christmas
It's December 23, and I'm slowly modifying my expectations. The bobbin thread keeps breaking - I don't know why - so the sewing is done. Good enough. Tomorrow is Sunday, and I sure could use a day of rest. Right now, both little boys are singing/talking/wailing themselves to sleep for a long winters nap, and so will I.
I read a wonderful book to the boys this week, A Cobweb Christmas, and want to remember the part where Tante decides to leave a few cobwebs this year, so that even the spiders can share Christmas. And the part where Kris Kringle takes cobwebs and turns them sparkling gold. Good enough is good enough - let the spiders share Christmas too.
